Cultural Appropriation in Fantasy Worldbuilding - Critical Role and D&D
Show Notes

There was an article about Critical Role and Cultural Appropriation that we saw recently that sparked this conversation in our own lives, and thought it was worth having on the podcast as well. It is a different sort of episode than our usual ones, but an important one and a healthy conversation. This can be a tough topic to discuss, but it is crucial that we do discuss it, and discuss it often. Ryan has thought about how to be respectful to the various cultures and moments in history that he appreciates and is inspired by in his own world. Fantasy Worldbuilding can easy encounter cultural appropriation and is important that we keep that in mind while creating our worlds.
